Bangladesh's first business tourism village
Own the shoreline. Inherit the horizon.
A 122-acre business tourism village on Kuakata's Bay of Bengal coast — where barefoot mornings, boardroom ambition and generational value share the same address.
A new kind of coastal address
Not a resort. Not a speculation. A village with a long memory.
Seavine Village is being shaped as Bangladesh's first business tourism village: a place where the Bay of Bengal is the front yard, commerce and culture share the street, and every decision is made for the next generation.
Set across 122 acres in Kuakata, the village brings hospitality, enterprise, ecology and community into one masterplan—guided by the coastline, not in spite of it.
The story so far
A shoreline.
Nine zones.
One long view.
Born from the light, tides and people of Kuakata, the masterplan is unfolding like a graphic novel—chapter by chapter, with the coast as the main character.

2021
The idea takes root.
On a stretch of coast where forest meets sea, a different kind of village was imagined. Not a walled resort. Not a grid of plots. A place where tourism, enterprise and everyday life could grow together.
The brief began with a question: what does a village owe the coast?

2022
A line on the map.
Architect Rafiq Azam was invited to shape the 122-acre masterplan. Nine zones emerged—each with its own rhythm, all sharing one coastline, one water system and one long-term responsibility.
The plan does not fight the water. It makes room for it.

Today
A village in the making.
Seavine is taking shape as a living address: a private beach, a working village heart, places to stay, meet, eat and gather. The ambition is not simply to build by the sea, but to belong to it.
The horizon is not a backdrop. It is the address.
The masterplan
Nine zones,
one village.
Each zone has a distinct role, but none stands alone. Water moves through the village. Ecology sets the edges. Business, culture, food and faith share the same streets.

01
Water
Still pools, tidal lagoons and waterside decks for slow mornings and long conversations.

02
Eco
Mangrove-edged walks, native planting and low-impact architecture that lets the coast breathe.

03
Business
Retreat rooms, conference spaces and a working address by the sea for teams that think better away from the city.

04
Fish
Working aquaculture, fresh-catch kitchens and a living connection to Kuakata’s fishing traditions.

05
Grameen
A village heart of craft, local enterprise and everyday life, designed to keep the local economy in the story.

06
Culture
Performance, art and the living traditions of the coast, gathered around shared open spaces.

07
Sports
Courts, cycles and open-air play for every generation, from early risers to after-school energy.

08
Food
Coastal kitchens, harvest tables and a market of flavours that belongs to this coast alone.

09
Islamic
A quiet spiritual quarter with a mosque, gardens and space for reflection.
Why this coast
The case for
the coast.
Kuakata is one of the few places on earth where the sun rises and sets over the same sea. Seavine is designed for the moment that rare geography becomes a year-round destination.
01
A national shift.
Bangladesh’s tourism map is widening beyond a single beach. Kuakata’s sunrise-and-sunset horizon gives the coast a rare, ownable story.
02
A masterplan, not a patchwork.
122 acres, nine zones and one architect-led vision. Infrastructure, water and open space are planned together—not added after the plots are sold.
03
A working village.
Business, hospitality, culture and ecology are designed to feed one another, so the address has a life beyond the holiday season.
04
A generational horizon.
The plan is biased toward patience: permanent infrastructure, honest documentation and stewardship that outlasts a sales cycle.

Designed by Rafiq Azam
A masterplan with
the coastline at its centre.
The village is conceived as a network of nine zones connected by water, walking routes and shared open space. Buildings sit lightly. The beach remains public in spirit. The forest edge is protected as an asset, not cleared as a convenience.
The shoreline
A place
to arrive.
Kuakata is not a backdrop for the village. It is the reason for it.

The long view
Built for
the patient investor.
Seavine is not designed to be flipped. It is designed to be lived with, visited often and passed on. Three principles guide the way we think about value.
“The coast is the asset. Every decision begins with what the shoreline can carry—and what it must be protected from.”
Seavine design briefPrinciple 01
“The masterplan is due diligence. It is the discipline that keeps nine zones, thousands of visits and one fragile coastline in balance.”
Masterplan notesPrinciple 02
“Time is part of the programme. We plan for the second generation, not the second quarter.”
